Finding the right wedding outfit often means visiting four shops, still feeling unsure, and then running out of time. New Chahat Fashion was set up to make that search shorter. We're a small business on Liberty Ave in South Richmond Hill, Queens, and what we try to do is simple: put a wide range of traditional outfits and accessories under one roof, so you can build the whole look in a single visit.
Most people come in with an occasion in mind, usually a wedding or a family celebration. Some bring a photo of what they're picturing. Others bring nothing but a date, and that works too. We'll show you what we have, you try things on, and if a piece needs adjusting, alterations are available in the shop so you aren't left chasing a tailor somewhere else.
We know a good outfit is partly about the price and partly about feeling comfortable in the room. We'd like you to leave with something you're happy to wear and a clear sense of what you paid for.
